Each year on the third Monday of January schools, federal offices, post office and banks across America close as we celebrate the birth, the life and the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is a time for the nation to remember the injustices that Dr. King fought. A time to remember his fight for the freedom, equality, and dignity of all races and peoples. A time to remember the message of change through nonviolence

We've got stories of Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks and the Civil Rights Movement. So bring your kids and tell your friends. And please stop by again.

Remember! Celebrate! Act!

Dear Worship Pastor/Director,

You're invited to be a part of a very meaningful Sacramento city-church celebration. Please accept this formal invitation for you, your worship team and choir to participate in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Mass Choir (Sunday Service). Ellington and Tecoy Porter, pastors of Genesis Church, will be joining me in directing this dynamic group. We are going to have a fabulous time worshiping together, but it won't be the same if you're not here with us.

Sunday, January 20, 2013, 5:30 pm is the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Service to be held at Capital Christian Center located at 9470 Micron Ave, Sacramento, CA 95827 (Hwy 50 and Bradshaw). This ecumenical service involves many churches and leaders of Sacramento. Together we remember the contribution that Dr. King made to our country as a minister of the gospel, but most of all we recognize that Christ has gifted each of us to make a difference in our world.

Below is our rehearsal schedule to participate in Sunday's service:
* Saturday, Jan 12, 10 am, at Capital Christian Center (Worship Center)
* Friday, Jan 18, 7-9 pm, at Capitol Christian Center (Worship Center)
* Dress Rehearsal , Saturday, Jan 19, 10 am - 1 pm at Capitol Christian Center (Worship Center)
